NIN For Free

I worked my 2nd gig as an Usher at the Target Center last Tuesday. You get to sign up for whatever shows you want to and I signed up for Nine Inch Nails who performed last night. I worked the door scanning tickets during the opening band, BORIS. After my break and eating my meal that they provide, I was sent up to the upper level to watch a section. They were few people in the section so I stood in the entry way and watched almost the entire NIN show. They had a great light show. One of the cool things the used was a light screen that dropped in front of and behind the band. The light screen was used in a lot of ways. The first picture is from right before the encore.



The picture below is the screen in front of the band. It has an eye like appearance with the band in the middle.

Van Gogh

This is a print instillation I had on my wall in my living room. It is 5 across and 4 down of 8'' by 10'' pieces of sectioned prints. It is Van Gogh's - Branches with Almond Blossom. I have since taken it down but loved it.

JT's Birthday/Roll Bounce

For JT Williams' 30th birthday on Nov 20 he wanted to go to Roller Garden in St Louis Park for adult night (25+). We went with a good sized group. JT, Lisa, JT's Parents, Lola, Dan Kenney, Vee, a couple that works with Lisa, Shua and I.

My Neighborhood Liquor Store

Is Lowry Hill Liquor Store on Hennepin Ave. With in walking distance as it is a block from my Apt 1A. They give a free bag of ice with each liquor purchase.

Coldplay

Coldplay was at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul on Nov. 14th. I bought tickets back in May for my Brothers Ben and Chris. We had dinner at The Downtowner restaurant in St. Paul well before the show with Jenny, her sister and her fiance. Met Charlie and Matt at McGoverns for some pre show drinks. Ran into some other people from Anoka at the show who sat by us too. Unfortunity I did not get a lot of great pics, but the show was phenominal.

Another fun activity that I did on my Birthday Week was to go to a firing range in Robbinsdale. Nate, Justin, Dan Kenney and Vee came with me. Shot a variety of guns. It was a Blast, literally.

Picture was taken on June 27th 2008, my birthday. I was sitting on the red couches in VIP at 7 Sky Bar roof top looking over Hennepin Ave at the Pantages Theater sign.

The top Sticker was given to me this summer at the Walker music and movies in the park by a guy who was registering people to vote. The bottom sticker was obtained on Tuesday November 4th.

The bulbs on stage would change colors from left to right and front to back motion according to the song speed and mood. It was perfect for a small venue.
